| Honda Jazz wins Continental Irish Small Car of the Year Awards 2010 |
The Honda Jazz emerged victorious in the Continental Irish Small Car of the Year Awards 2010 and Honda Accord was runner up in the Continental Luxury/Sports Car of the Year Awards 2010 announced by the Irish Motoring Writers Association at a ceremony.
The Jazz beat the Volkswagen Polo to gain this prestigious award which is based on votes enumerating such factors as value for money, style, engineering and performance. Members of the Irish Motoring Writers Association cast their votes based on comprehensive testing of all vehicles. The Accord came second to Mercedes Benz E-Class.
Adrian Cole, Managing Director of Universal Honda, in accepting the award said: “The demand for cars like the Jazz is increasing as car buyers look to downsize from bigger, gas-guzzling models into small, fuel efficient, but practical vehicles. We believe that Jazz is the most versatile car on the market and is so cleverly designed and packaged with its ‘magic seats’ arrangement that delivers with ease considerably more space than cars twice its size. Equipped with Honda’s low CO2 emission fuel efficient Vtec technology and having achieved a 5 star Euro N Cap safety rating earlier this year the new Jazz really is an outstanding vehicle and a worthy winner of the Continental Irish Small Car of the Year”. |
